THE ODYSSEY: Moving BERENIK from NY & Zurich to the Sea

This is how it looks like when you have to close two shops and find a new place for your brand and yourself in the world. It took me around 2 years and 13 moves to find a new home and a new system for BERENIK after the big disaster that happened in Ny and that took my whole system down, everything I built up in 10 years.
Everything just because of a building permit, that we didn't get in time....
It was a hard time, this transition into something new, away from the shops, fashion weeks and shows, trades hows, overseas productions, years of insomnia and endless jetlag into a more streamlined system with onlineshops and retail fairs.
It was hard to have to take down the beautiful shops that so many people loved, destroy all the work I and many more people put in, let go of my amazing employees...
But in the end I am also enormously grateful to have had the chance to find a system that is much calmer, more sustainable for myself as a person, that allows me to breathe, to have a live next to my work, that I found this amazing place in Spain that surrounds me with the incredible beauty of nature, friendship and peace. Here I find the strength to keep going, it is the new base camp for myself and my brand.
Thank you to all the people who were there for me, emotionally, physically to help and support me! I would not have made it without you!!!!

WORK IN PROGRESS / NEW STUDIO FISTERRA SPAIN

Working on a new collection for 2021+ and new art projects in my new attic studio in Fisterra, with the sound of the waves and the seagulls, it's just a bliss! So thankful for the universe to have made me come here, the peace, the beauty and especially all the wonderful souls living here are making me get up in the mornings and just love my life!!! THANK YOU!!!!!
